VPA’s Artists & Communities in Partnership for Youth Initiative

VPA’s Artists & Communities in Partnership for Youth Initiative promotes activities that support a wider understanding of the Visual and Public Art Program for prospective college students, and partners with non-profit organizations based in Salinas to mentor young artists about professional practices.

Center for Arts, Culture, and Humanities @ Salinas City Center

VPA is part of a new initiative that builds on our long-standing commitment to serve our community. The new Center for Arts, Culture, and Humanities aims to create a focal point for a range of cultural programs in the renewed downtown of our county’s largest city.

The Visual and Public Art Program recognizes this center as a home for visiting artists, panels, lectures, exhibits for established and emerging artist, and curated spaces by VPA students. We want to showcase our exceptional program in a way that will be easily accessible to more Tri-County residents.

VPA has committed to an engaged presence in Salinas through independent and collaborative projects in unification with VPA’s Artists & Communities in Partnership for Youth Initiative, which partners with exiting non-profit organizations based in Salinas to mentor young artists about professional practices and an understanding of the Visual and Public Art Program.
